It’s not because of emotions; we can tell you that much! Jesus claimed to be God, and that makes Him either crazy, deceptive, or God. There’s no proof He was crazy or deceptive, so that leaves…He is God!
Jesus’ critics couldn’t explain away His miracles, or His empty tomb. They tried, though. Notably, His miracles were written off as sorcery, and the empty tomb was explained away by claiming the disciples “stole the body” (which makes zero sense, and we *just* did a video on why not, right before this one!)
Jesus claimed to be God and backed it up. He referred to Himself with the name of God, affirmed claims that He was the prophesied Messiah (which the Bible says is God), forgave sins, accepted worship, and did miracles to back up His claims.
And, of course, He fulfilled every single OT prophecy, many of which were totally beyond His control, which, when put together, is statistically impossible.
And the kicker, of course, is that He rose from the dead. That’s the main sign/miracle that we (humanity) get as proof that Jesus is who He says He is.
